WPC tiles may experience slight natural colour weathering over time, which is normal for composite materials.

This does not affect the strength or performance of the tiles.

You can use:

  • Water and mild detergent

  • A garden hose

CoMatex WPC Fencing

General

What is CoMatex WPC fencing?

CoMatex WPC fencing is made from wood-plastic composite (WPC), combining wood fibres and plastic to create a modern fencing material with the appearance of timber. It offers a contemporary look with less ongoing maintenance than traditional timber fencing.

WPC fencing provides a modern timber-look finish, privacy and a durable outdoor boundary solution. It does not require regular painting or oiling like traditional timber fencing. It is also resistant to moisture and everyday outdoor exposure when installed and maintained correctly.

Yes. CoMatex WPC fencing is designed to create a solid boundary with minimal gaps between the fence planks, providing privacy for gardens, courtyards and outdoor living areas when installed correctly.

Installation

Can I install CoMatex WPC fencing myself?

Installation may be suitable for experienced DIYers with the appropriate tools and construction skills. Correct post positioning, alignment, foundations and installation clearances are important. For larger projects or difficult site conditions, we recommend using a professional installer.

Yes. WPC planks can generally be cut using suitable woodworking tools. Measure carefully before cutting and follow the installation instructions to ensure a neat finish and proper support.

Yes, depending on the slope and site conditions. The fence may be installed in a stepped configuration or another suitable arrangement. The layout, post heights and panel dimensions should be planned before installation.

Potentially, provided the concrete is suitable and the posts can be securely fixed using an appropriate installation method. The required fixings and post-base arrangement depend on the existing surface and site conditions.

Posts installed in the ground generally require suitable footings to provide stability. Footing dimensions and depth depend on soil conditions, fence height, wind exposure and local requirements. Follow the installation instructions and obtain professional advice where necessary.

Durability

Is CoMatex WPC fencing waterproof?

WPC is designed for outdoor use and offers good resistance to moisture compared with untreated timber. However, it should not be considered completely waterproof. Correct installation, drainage and suitable clearances are important for long-term performance.

Yes. CoMatex WPC fencing is designed for outdoor conditions. As with other outdoor building materials, its long-term performance depends on installation quality, drainage, ventilation and exposure to the elements.

WPC does not behave like natural timber and is resistant to many of the problems associated with timber, including rot and termite attack. However, it is not indestructible and should be installed and maintained in accordance with the product instructions.

Maintenance

How do I clean CoMatex WPC fencing?

Clean the fence with water, a soft brush or cloth and a mild detergent when necessary. Rinse thoroughly after cleaning. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaning products and aggressive pressure washing that could damage the surface.

No regular painting or oiling is normally required. This makes WPC fencing a convenient alternative to traditional timber fencing. Routine cleaning is generally sufficient to keep it looking its best.

Start with water and mild detergent using a soft brush or cloth. For stubborn marks, test a suitable cleaner on an inconspicuous area first. Avoid solvents or abrasive products unless specifically approved for the material.
